Steven Chesney is the latest member of the public to die in police custody.
The official police story is that he staggered and collapsed when exiting the police van but his family still do not know why he was arrested and say that there are 'lots of questions' around his death which Motherwell police don't seem to want to answer.
The whole case is being investigated by the PIRC...at the direction of the Crown Office and Procurator Fiscal Service.
Mmm, so let me get this straight.
The investigation in to whether there was any wrongdoing by police officers in the death of this young man is being directed by the very organisation who work hand in hand with police every day to help get prosecutions against innocent members of the public - the same organisation who grant police officers immunity (off the record of course) to lie in court cases to help them get those convictions...
Ah, yes, I think we can close the book on how this one is going to turn out before it even starts.
