Police call centre workers accessing confidential information

Police Scotland are like any other organisation in as much as they have a range of officers in their ranks with varying degrees of responsibility.

This ranges from big boys like the highly trained anti-terrorist officer who will stop you with his loaded machine gun to the humble 'beat' copper who will stop you for being drunk in charge of a fish supper.

Further down the list is the Police call centre handlers.

They are pretty much bottom of the food chain as far as Police employees go although it must be stressed that we still rely on them to do an absolutely essential and important job. The M9 tragedy showed us just how disastrous even the simplest failings at their level can be.

The problem is when lower level employees have access to highly confidential information about you and I.

The Scotsman newspaper has reported that a call centre handler has been charged with making false accusations against someone she knows and accessing Police records to do it.

Not only have Police Scotland's call centres been recently shown to be an abject failure, their screening of employees is now exposed as being severely lacking too.

It's a mess, but don't expect untrustworthy Police Scotland to clean it up any time soon.

Shooting The Messenger

In further revelations in to the exploits of untrustworthy Police Scotland, we find today that they waste an untold amount of money and resources targeting anyone who dares speak out against them or disagrees with them (ahhhh, how well I personally know and have experienced that).

They even target the good officers in their own ranks.

In the Emma Caldwell murder case, Police Scotland diverted funds and resources away from trying to catch her killer and instead used them to try and find out which Police officers and ex officers gave details of their failures in their handling of the bungled case to the Sunday Mail newspaper.

So not only do the Police spy on journalists who criticise them, they come down like a ton of bricks on any officer past or present who dares stand up for what's right and puts the truth out there.

Talk about shooting the messenger!

Good honest and decent coppers are few and far between at the best of times and considering that good honest and decent coppers get hammered by their bosses when they try to be good honest and decent, you can see why they are leaving Police Scotland in their droves. No wonder a recent survey of Police Scotland found a large number of officers unhappy with their job and keen to leave.

And it means that we, the public, are left with the dregs of humanity to run our Police force in Scotland.

A couple of days ago I discussed the shocking news that there are currently 134 Officers From Police Scotland Under Investigation For Sex offences, Stalking, Theft And Assault - many of them the rank of Sergeant and Inspector and above (see original article here)

Do you still feel safe with this current motley crew of Police Scotland in charge of our streets then?

Complaints Against Police Scotland Up 45%

I'm not even going to comment on this.

The headline says it all...

134 Officers From Police Scotland Under Investigation For Sex offences, Stalking, Theft And Assault

They say that fact is stranger than fiction. Today more than ever I know that to be true.

In a headline you couldn't possibly make up if you tried, we discover that 134 Police Scotland officers are under investigation for a range of crimes including sex offences, stalking, theft, assault and breaching data protection.

You would expect Police to be out there investigating sex offences, stalking, theft, assault and breaching data protection - not actually committing these crimes themselves.

But that's exactly what's happening at untrustworthy Police Scotland.

I have watched standards in the selection process for Police Scotland employees drop for years.

I've personally experienced the calibre of officers in Police Scotland descend in to farce.

It's harder to get accepted in to the local golf club than it is to get in to the Police force nowadays.

The calibre of Police Scotland officers - who so love to wag their condescending finger at you and I -  has been plummeting for years.

And now we find the current crop of coppers are not just the usual sub standard trash we've come to know and expect, but they're actually criminals themselves.

We're not just talking about a few rogue flat foots from the lower rungs of the ladder either.

No Siree.

3 of them are the rank of Inspector or above.

11 of them are Sergeants.

Police Scotland is corrupt to the core.

It's truly sickening to members of the public to know that while this motley crew at Police Scotland are stopping you in your car, or in the street ,or arresting you on some trumped up charge that they've invented, they are secretly a bunch of thieves, sex offenders, and criminals themselves.

And they ask us, the public, to trust them. They ask us to make statements to them and go to court as witnesses for them.

They're having a laugh aren't they?

Who in their right mind would trust a Police Scotland copper these days?

The overseeing body who are supposed to hold them to account, the Scottish Police Authority's Complaints And Conduct Committee tell us not to worry, they're right on the case.

So, how many of the 134 corrupt Police Scotland officers do you reckon will actually find themselves in the dock?

Well, ultimately it's their good friends and colleagues in the already corrupt Crown Office who will decide if "there's a sufficiency of evidence" or "if it's in the public interest" to pursue the crooked Police officers.

So don't hold your breath.

Police Scotland Caught Spying Without Permission

Oh dear, untrustworthy Police Scotland have been caught red handed breaking the strict rules they should follow when spying on us.

I suppose we shouldn't be surprised that Police Scotland go around completely ignoring the law as if it doesn't apply to them.

After all, half the Police I come in to contact with think they know the law (and they don't) while the other half think they are the law (which they're not).

The Interception of Communications Commissioner found that Police Scotland obtained data communications without getting the approval of a judge not once, not twice, not three times, not four times, but FIVE times.

What flabbergasts me most is the boys in blue's response when confronted about being caught breaking the law. Assistant Chief Constable Ruaraidh Nicolson said there was no evidence that the breaches had not been "an intentional act".

Oh, good, now you've explained it Mr Nicolson that makes everything fine then doesn't it?

Well, no, it doesn't.

Let's put the shoe on the other foot.

If you happen to break the law by, say, stabbing someone FIVE times, what's your chances of telling the coppers who come to arrest you that it was "not an intentional act"?

Will the Plods be happy to accept your explanation and let you walk away free as a bird just as the Plods who broke the spying laws are asking us to accept their explanation and will no doubt walk away from this scandal free as a bird?

You don't need Ladbrokes to give you odds on that one.

No Breaking In To Your Duty Free 'Swally' On The Plane

Glasgow Airport have announced that they are to sell duty free booze in sealed bags so that passengers cannot consume it on board the aircraft.

Airport bosses are bringing in these measures (no pun intended) in an attempt to help stop drunken passengers getting out of hand and disrupting flights.

I agree. I'm all for it.

Of course the fact that I'm tee-total and don't drink alcohol perhaps also suggests that I'm not entirely unbiased in this matter lol!

But rest assured, there was a time, many moons ago, in a century far, far away, when I did drink. And I can tell you that my holiday, just like many other Glaswegians holidays, began as soon as I hit the bar at Glasgow airport - even if it was 6 in the morning. The minute I passed through the airport security metal detector I was like a ship that had entered international waters. I considered myself officially in the international time zone - even though I was still in Glasgow and it was still 6 in the morning!

Let's face it, Glaswegians, especially on the Palma and Alicante flights, are often already three sheets to the wind before they get to the airport never mind step foot on the plane.

I'm unconvinced that restricting access to a couple of bottles they picked up while strolling through the duty free shop on their way to the departure lounge bar is going to make much of a dent in the behaviour of these diehards.

Worse still is how are the cabin crew going to enforce the ban?

As soon as 'Chantelle' and 'Kylie' have closed all the overhead lockers and finished doing the safety dance pointing out where the exits are, the next job on their list is to wheel the drinks trolley down the aisle.

And as soon as they try to charge an already half-jaked Glesga punter and his burd nearly a tenner for two silly wee bottles of cheap vino with not much more than a mouthful in each, the Rab C Nesbits of the skies will be smashing the planes porthole and hanging on to the wings trying to get in to the luggage hold to get their duty free oot.

And when that happens, someone breaking a seal on a plastic bag with a litre of Bacardi in it will be the least of your problems!

Police Try To Smear Sheku Bayoh

In an all too familiar scene, untrustworthy Police Scotland have tried to smear Sheku Bayoh.

It's the usual Police Scotland tactics where they launch a smear campaign against innocent members of the public in an attempt to divert attention away from criticism aimed towards them. We have become used to seeing this from them all too often.

As per normal, the Police Scotland mafia have closed ranks and gone in to overdrive with a string of anonymous 'leaks', specially cherry picked to suit themselves of course. There has also been the usual tirade of innuendo from 'unnamed' officers. All trying to criminalise an innocent man.

What they would prefer you not to know though is that PC Nicole Short, the officer who felt it necessary to use her baton on Sheku Bayoh despite, we are told, up to 9 other officers also being involved in detaining him, is alleged to have misused the Police Crimefile system and the Scottish Intelligence Database for, let's just say, non-policing purposes. Oh dear.

They'd also prefer you not to know that relatives of PC Alan Paton, who have exposed him as a racist with a history of violence, say he pushed and knocked his own mother unconscious and 'kicked lumps' out of his father, leaving him with a badly bruised jaw and damaged ribs. Sounds like a charming guy and just the type you'd want in Police Scotland right?!

And that's only what we've found out about just 2 out of the 9 officers involved.

Between little Miss Baton Rouge and her buddy PC Alan 'I hate all blacks' Paton it seems untrustworthy Police Scotland are having more than just a few teeny weeny internal problems with this case.

So it's little wonder they've resorted to a tacky smear campaign against Sheku Bayoh, an innocent man.

Sheku Bayoh's Family Struggle For Justice

Today, the family of Sheku Bayoh, the young man who died in Police Scotland custody, met with First Minister Nicola Sturgeon and Justice Minister Michael Matheson.

I have been following the Sheku Bayoh case with great interest.

I have personally donated to the family's cause and feel strongly about the shameless way Police Scotland continue to conduct themselves in this case.

But I don't expect the family of Sheku Bayoh to get justice anytime soon.

You see the First Minister heads the Scottish Government, who choose and appoint the Lord Advocate, who heads the Crown Office & Procurator Fiscal Service, who work hand in hand with Police Scotland to help them prosecute cases. Join the dots.

For those of you who don't already know, Sheku Bayoh was an innocent member of the public who was detained in police custody in Kircaldy. He did not leave police custody alive.

He was 31 years old and leaves behind 2 small sons aged 3 and 3 months.

No-one knows how Sheku Bayoh died except that he was taken into police custody and now he is dead. His family and friends are quite right in wanting to know why. However Police Scotland refuse to give them clear information of what occurred and requests that the Lord Advocate and the Police Investigations & Review Commissioner help them get to the truth have fallen on deaf ears.

Police Scotland gave a statement during their press conference on 14th May this year saying "we have nothing to apologise for."

One of the principal Police officers on the scene, PC Alan Paton, has a history of violent attacks, even against his own family and he has publicly stated that he hates black people. (see http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-34529611)

The family were given 5 different version of what took place. One of these ‘versions’ was that Sheku Bayoh was found lying on the street, that a passer by saw him and called an ambulance. This is untrue.

Another 'version' was a statement claiming that a petite female officer, PC Nicola Short was first on the scene and alone. This is also untrue.

Mind you, she was the first to hit Sheku Bayoh with a baton although she suffered no physical injuries whatsoever.

The first officers on the scene were actually two large male officers – both over 6ft 3 in height and over 20 stone in weight (Sheku Bayoh was 5’10 and 12 stone).

Up to 9 officers were involved and there was over 100 stone of Police officers on top of him at one point.

His injuries were horrific.

They tried to say he was carrying a knife. But he wasn't. There was no knife at the time of his arrest and no knife has ever been found. More Police lies.

An autopsy was done without the family being given the opportunity to identify the body and without a family pathologist present, even though the authorities were explicitly informed that the family wanted to have their own family pathologist present.

And as if all that isn't enough, Police Scotland contacted the Sierra Leone embassy in London to try and sneak Sheku Bayoh's body out of the country TWO DAYS after he died and without the family's knowledge. Luckily a suspicious embassy official contacted the family because it struck him as a tad unusual for the Police, rather than the persons family, to be expatriating a body. They were right. The family knew nothing about it.

I wonder what evidence there is on Sheku Bayoh's body that Police Scotland seem so desperate to hide?

We now discover that Sir Stephen 'I've got an ego as big as a' House secretly met officers involved with Sheku Bayoh’s death in custody case BEFORE they gave statements to the investigators. What was he briefing (coaching?) them on I wonder?

A recent rally in support of Sheku Bayoh revealed that many other families in Scotland have suffered at the hands of the police.

Untrustworthy Police Scotland must be made accountable and answerable for all deaths in police custody and their buddies in the corrupt Crown office must put every one of the officers involved in the dock.

BBC's The One Show Exposes How The Justice System Punishes Innocents

Tonights BBC1 'The One Show' investigated how people who have been wrongly arrested and found innocent in court often find themselves financially ruined by legal fees.

During the programme one innocent man even revealed that he had seriously considered pleading guilty to something he didn't do - just because his lawyers fees were mounting up and he simply couldn't afford to continue paying.

It is completely unacceptable in this day and age that the justice you receive is only as good as the money in your pocket.

I regularly sit in the public gallery of Sheriff courts in Scotland and watch cases being tried. The vast majority of cases that the Crown Office bring to court are by far waged against the poorest and the most vulnerable people in our society. Go to any court in Scotland and look in the dock. You'll hardly ever see a 'well suited and booted' accused.

It's not because the accused persons don't have respect for the court. It's because they can't afford a suit.

The Crown Office & Procurator Fiscal Service know this. They know that it's far easier to get a conviction against a poor person or a vulnerable person than a middle class, educated, or wealthy person.

So that's why Police Scotland and the COPFS purposely target this section of society.

A man of means can employ a good legal team to prove his innocence.

A poor person cannot.

Our justice system wants you to think that when a judge brings down his gavel with the words "not guilty" and you walk out of the dock a free man, then justice has been done.

IT HAS NOT

They conveniently ignore the fact that the man who walks out of the dock "not guilty" was actually "not guilty" before he walked in to the dock.

Worse still, as the "not guilty" man walks out of the dock, he has also had his life destroyed by rumours and innuendo in his community in the weeks or months leading up to his trial, no smoke without fire and all that, his family have suffered, his work has suffered, his health has suffered, and to top it all, he's hundreds or even thousands of pounds out of pocket - money he can ill afford.

That's not justice. That's persecution.

But hang on a minute. What about Legal Aid I hear you ask?

...pause...

...pause...

...pause...

Sorry for the pauses - I was too busy laughing when you asked about "Legal Aid!"

If you are facing a serious charge which carries a sentence of up to one year in jail, Legal Aid in Scotland pays £500. This is barely enough to cover the cost of a lawyer sending out a couple of letters never mind meet with you, discuss your case, prepare a defence, cite witnesses, and conduct a trial in a court of law.

Bottom line is if you want a defence, you need to put your hand in your pocket, and your pockets better be deep.

And if you're one of the poorest and most vulnerable people in our society with very little or nothing at all in your pocket, tough luck.

Mind you, on the upside, the corrupt Crown Office and untrustworthy Police Scotland get to show great crime figures to the public who are blissfully unaware of how they actually get all these so-called 'successful' prosecutions.

Glasgow City Council Using CCTV To Fleece Drivers

Watch out Glasgow, big brother is watching and he wants your money.
You could be forgiven for thinking that the CCTV cameras you see around Glasgow are there to help keep you safe in an increasingly violent world.

Not so.

Glasgow City Council has 15 CCTV cameras operating but they're not there to protect you from being robbed, mugged, raped, or murdered.

The CCTV cameras are set up to catch unsuspecting motorists who are unaware that big brother is watching. They exist purely to catch you and fine you an obscene amount of money for minor traffic infringements like:

- Being caught in traffic on a yellow box junction

- Making a U-Turn

- Driving in a bus lane a minute after the permitted time

Glasgow City Council has made £4m so far this year from motorists caught on their CCTV system and £11m since 2013.

It's now official that Glasgow City Council has fined motorists more money than any other council in the whole of the UK.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-glasgow-west-34861458

http://www.confused.com/car-insurance/articles/councils-net-182-million-from-traffic-cctv

There is some good news though.

The corrupt council leaders at Glasgow Crooked Council have lived very well indeed off your £4m this year and look forward to you funding their jolly junkets with another £4m plus of your hard earned cash next year too.

Oh and don't expect any of them to be contributing to the millions they collect in fines from you because they don't drive their cars in Glasgow. Instead they take taxis everywhere - paid for from the millions they fleece off you.

30 Recommendations For Police Scotland

Her Majesty's Inspectorate of Constabulary has come up with 30 recommendations for Police Scotland on how they need to improve.

Thats a heck of a lot of recommendations.

It shouldn't be surprising to anyone that the Inspectorate of Constabulary found so much wrong with untrustworthy Police Scotland. After all, we have all been shocked to the core by the M9 tragedy where police left John Yuill and Lamarra Bell to die despite their crashed car being reported to police earlier.

Except that the M9 tragedy was not actually covered in the 30 recommendations. It is being investigated by another body - the Police Investigations and Review Commissioner.

So let's get this straight. These 30 recommendations on how police need to shape up are in addition to their failures in the M9 tragedy!

The merging of regional police forces in to one big central Police Scotland force was an experiment that has now proved itself to be an epic failure.

We've got rid of Sir Stephen "I've got an ego as big as a" House.

Now it's time to get rid of Police Scotland too.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-34802408

Police Scotland Chief Constable Treats Public With Contempt

The chief Constable of Police Scotland Sir Stephen "I've got an ego as big as a" House has failed to turn up for a string of important meetings since announcing in August that he is to retire.

He failed to turn up at the Scottish Police Authority meeting to account for and answer to a £25m overspend in the Police Scotland budget.

He failed to turn up to a domestic violence summit. Not surprising as he has thrown countless innocents in jail on trumped up domestic abuse charges with his "guilty till proved innocent" attitude. We all know that Sir Stephen has never been the type of person to let a little thing like 'the law' get in the way of him doing whatever he likes.

He failed to turn up to any meetings with the Scottish justice secretary since announcing his impending retirement.

He failed to answer to the results of a force-wide survey which showed a worrying percentage of his police officers are dissatisfied with their job.

He failed to answer to the furore about police response times after the M9 tragedy (which he is entirely responsible for).

That's a lot of failures.

And he doesn't give two hoots.

Such is the lack of substance of the man that he, yet again, treats the public with complete contempt just as he has done every day during his tenure at untrustworthy Police Scotland. Don't expect him to work hard during his 3 month notice period, but do expect him to bunk off and put his feet up while still pocketing the obscene amount of money we pay him. I bet when he was a wee boy he brought games in to school and did no work for the last week before the summer holidays.

The man is a menace in a uniform and the people of Scotland are far better of without him. Sir Stephen House is a pathetic individual, devoid of all moral worth and should be stripped of his knighthood for wreaking havoc on the innocent people of Scotland with his vindictive target based policing policy which has caused misery to countless law abiding Scottish citizens. He has single handedly set this great country of ours back decades.

He will most certainly NOT be missed.

Shut the door behind you Sir Stephen.

But just before you go, I wonder if you'll be giving back any of the £208,000 a year you pocketed from us for your failures?

What did you say?

I can't hear you, speak up?

I'll take that as a "no" then...

Sack Lord Advocate Frank Mulholland And Procurator Fiscal David Green Now

Following the BBC documentary Lies, Laws and The Bin Lorry Tragedy, the Lord Advocate Frank 'I'm anything but frank' Mulholland, head of the corrupt Crown Office & Procurator Fiscal Service, has given solid backing to his lying Procurator Fiscal David Green - and branded the families who lost loved ones in the tragedy a bunch of liars.

Sadly this is standard practice for the corrupt Crown office. Their arrogance knows no bounds.

Six people, including the families legal team were all present at the meeting when Procurator Fiscal David Green told them that the bin lorry driver had previously fainted in a canteen when in fact he had fainted at the wheel of a bus.

You may find it astonishing that Procurator Fiscal David Green denies he said any such thing, despite SIX people at the meeting confirming that they did indeed hear him say just that.

You may find it even more astonishing that his boss, Lord Advocate Frank Mulholland believes his PF David Green rather than the SIX witnesses (who included the families lawyers).

I don't.

I have had first hand experience of Procurator Fiscals lying, and not just at a meeting (although that happened to me too when Procurator Fiscal Depute Brendan Devaney lied about a meeting he had with me). I experienced a Procurator Fiscal stand up in a court of law, in front of a Sheriff, and lie. This was despite others in court that day hearing Procurator Fiscal Depute Sarah McCall lie through her teeth to the Sheriff about calling witnesses.

I made an official complaint to the Crown office and they investigated my complaint.

Their so-called "investigation" involved asking the Procurator Fiscal if she had indeed said what the witnesses in court heard her say.

She denied saying any such thing.

And so my complaint was dismissed.

The Crown Office believed their lying Procurator Fiscal rather than the members of the public in court that day who heard her lie.

So, by now you may be wondering why so many Procurator Fiscals in the Crown Office who claim to represent the public interest and work for us and for our benefit have no qualms when it comes to lying, perverting justice, and covering up corruption in their ranks (and don't even mind doing it in front of judges, under oath, and in court). What makes them so arrogant and brazen?

The answer is all down to accountability, or rather lack of it.

The Crown Office & Procurator Fiscal Service, headed by the Lord Advocate Frank Mulholland are NOT accountable to anyone so can absolutely do what they like. The Scottish Public Services Ombudsman (SPSO) which is supposed to oversee them is run by their cronies and connections so are akin to a chocolate fire guard. Not only do the Crown Office investigate themselves but they are also in a unique position of being the gatekeepers to our courts. No-one can be prosecuted in a court of law in Scotland without their say so. This even includes private prosecutions which have to be approved by the Lord Advocate before they can go ahead.

So if you don't like the version of justice that the Crown decide on, tough luck. A judge doesn't even get to hear your case unless the Crown allow it to go to court first. So they can deny you justice and there's NOTHING you can do about it. Nothing.

If Procurator Fiscals lie anywhere at any time, they can be confident that their colleagues will never put them in the dock to answer for their sins. Don't believe me? Just look at the date stamp on this post and compare it to today's date (which is possibly months or years after this post is dated). Has the lying Procurator Fiscal David Green ever stood in a dock in a court of law anywhere in Scotland charged with lying to the families of the bin lorry tragedy since I published this post? No.

That is why six witnesses at a bin lorry meeting versus one corrupt Procurator Fiscal cannot possibly win.

Thats why corrupt Procurator Fiscal David Green's version of events was unquestioningly accepted by corrupt Lord Advocate Frank Mulholland and the six witnesses, including the families lawyers, have been branded as the liars. They did exactly the same to me.

That's why the families of the bin lorry tragedy will never receive justice from this corrupt Crown Office & Procurator Fiscal Service.

If you are a member of the public and thinking of helping the Crown by going to court as a witness in any case, no matter how big or small, think again. You need to be aware that you could actually be helping corruption, you could be defeating justice rather than getting justice.

Worst of all you could be helping perverted Procurator Fiscals in the corrupt Crown Office put an innocent person or persons behind bars.

They Want To Hide Their Corruption From You

On Friday evening the Westminster government ended the time limit for evidence to be submitted to them regarding whether the freedom of information act should be changed.

The strangest thing about this is that the freedom of information act has already been reviewed and has been decided on...3 years ago!

So why review it again I hear you ask?

Simple. The government didn't like what we, the people, decided regarding freedom of information so they are going to continue to review it and ask us about it over and over again until they get the answer they want.

The members of this new commission they've set up to review the FOIA makes worrying reading too. It includes Jack Straw (who has been a vocal critic of the FOIA), Lord Howard (who suffered embarrassment when the FOIA exposed his expenses), and Lord Carlile (an admitted defender of secret justice in non transparent courts).

This motley crew are anything but impartial. Don't let these charlatans destroy our freedom of information act.

Just for the record here's a list of things we would NOT have found out about if it hadn't been for the FOIA:

MPs’ expenses

Incineration of foetuses

Unlawful Stop and Search

Care home residents dying of thirst

Police use of tasers on children

Degrading treatment of detained migrants

Cyril Smith police investigation

Dangerous deportation practices

If we let Westminster mess around with the freedom of information act they will alter it to stop us from keeping them honest.

We must be able to hold our public bodies to account.

The FOIA does not need watering down, especially from politicians who have much to hide and much to fear from the public accessing freedom of information.

The FOIA has already been thoroughly examined (back in 2012) and needs to be protected from these Westminster vultures.

Oh No, I Could've Been Worth Millions

It has been reported that a security adviser to the Nigerian government has stole more than $2bn.

New Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari, who has ordered the official to be arrested, discovered that the security adviser, Mr Dasuki, had syphoned off the money using a string of false contracts and bogus arm deals.

It seems Mr Dasuki made bank transfers amounting to more than $US140 million to foreign bank accounts in countries including Britain.

And to think, for years I've been filling my rubbish bin with all those letters and emails from banks in Nigeria asking to transfer millions in to my account lol!

£100 Fine For Doing 71mph In A 70mph Limit

How do you feel about being fined £100 for doing 71mph in a 70mph zone with no discretion?

Any imbecile can tell you that an extra 1 mph over the limit is not going to make any difference at all when it comes to safety. So why do Police want to hit you with a £100 fine when you go 1 mph over the limit if it makes no difference to safety?

The answer is by getting £100 off as many drivers as possible Police can use your money to provide extra funding for their local force.

If you've read this so far you probably think I'm making this up. After all, if this was true it would be a blatant admission by Police that the use of speed cameras to make money is far more important than using them to prevent accidents.

But it is true.

And it's disgraceful.

Olly Martin is the Police and crime commissioner for Bedfordshire. And he's after your money. He's clear about why he wants your money and he's clear about how he's gonna get it from you.

His scam to get £100 from each driver who wanders just 1mph over the limit will raise £1m per year which he says will give him enough money to fund 25 more Police officers.

You couldn't make it up - and I'm not:

Police Scotland Officer Lies Under Oath

What do you reckon is the bigger scandal? A police officer testifying in a court of law, standing in full uniform, in the witness stand, and being exposed as a liar, after having taken an oath to tell the truth? Or....The fact that the Procurator Fiscal, the Justice of the Peace, the Sheriff clerk, and the defence solicitor all casually moved on to their next case without batting an eye lid while the police officer who had just been exposed in the witness stand to be a liar walked nonchalantly out of the court to continue the rest of her shift, completely unfazed by what she'd just done?

I recently sat in the public gallery of Coatbridge Justice of the Peace court watching a trial. It wasn't a big case, no jury or anything like that, just a wee guy from "what's it called, Cumbernauld" in a near empty court room pleading not guilty to using his mobile phone while driving.

The only witnesses to this trumped up charge against the wee guy were two Police Scotland officers, one male, one female, who had stopped him and arrested him.

I've gotta hand it to the wee guy...his word against two coppers in a court ain't good odds but, hey, he was innocent, he had done nothing wrong, he wanted his day in court, so I salute him for standing up for what's right, just, honest, and decent.

Sooooooo, the trial begins and plod number 1 flat foots it in to the witness stand.

He tells the court with great articulation that the accused was on the opposite side of the carriageway, travelling up the road as the police were travelling down the road, so he saw the accused full frontal on, very clearly holding his phone in his right hand. No doubt about it whatsoever. Damn, this coppers good!

So good in fact, I see "The Beak" start to fidget. He's impressed, and he's reaching to put on his black cap in readiness for giving out the death sentence. Yip, the Nokia Nuisance is going to the gallows.

It get's worse. In strolls plod number 2 to the witness stand. She tells the same story, word for word. Yes, he had the phone in his right hand, yes, she clearly saw it.

But wait...

Just when it looks like the Cumbernauld criminal mastermind is going down, the defence says to her, "Yes, I see on your statement you say the phone was in his right hand but you changed your statement a few days after you made it. Originally your statement said it was in his left hand. Did you change your statement after talking to your Police colleague and realising the story you'd fabricated just to corroborate his story was wrong?"

Answer..."No"

Defence: "So why did you change your statement?"

Answer..."Emm, I don't know"

Cue a meerkat impression from the Justice of the Peace and a rolling of eyes from the Procurator Fiscal.

The defence solicitor continues his questions. The Police officer tells him she got a real long look at the accused - she watched him use his phone, in his right hand or his left hand or whatever hand it was, for about 5 or 6 seconds.

More than that, she was only two car lengths away from him at the time so she was able to get a real good close up look at Cumbernaulds public enemy number 1.

So now we have it. The Police vehicle was travelling in one direction at 30mph, the accused was travelling the other direction at 30mph, and at two car lengths away this copper claims she had 5 or 6 seconds to observe the accused! Think about it. At that speed they would pass each other in a split second...not 5 or 6 seconds!

You can probably guess the rest. The defence solicitor put it to her that she was lying, she hadn't seen the wee guy use his mobile phone at all, and was falsifying evidence in order to back up and corroborate her Police Scotland colleague in order to get a conviction against the wee guy.

While she was still answering, the defence solicitor was already packing away his brief case...

The Sheriff clerk was already shuffling the papers ready for the next trial...

The Justice of the Peace gave a knowing nod to the Procurator Fiscal as if to say I assume you're going to stand up and say something to me...

The Procurator Fiscal didn't even fully rise from her seat but rather did that kinda half getting up from her seat move - you know the one, where the bum only rises about 2 inches from the upholstery - while her hand made some dismissive half baked gesturing movement accompanied by a nod and an incomprehensible mumble to the Justice of the Peace. She then sat back down to look out the papers for the next case...

Meanwhile the lying police officer was brushing down her uniform and walking out of the court, totally unfazed by the proceedings that had just preceded.

The Justice of the Peace then told the wee guy in the dock that he had been found not guilty and was free to go...and everyone moved on to their next case without so much as blinking an eye.

Except me.

Inside my head I was screaming at the top of my voice. Why doesn't one of you in this court do something about what's just happened? This cannot be right.

An officer of the law, in full uniform, had just been caught lying through her teeth in order to frame an innocent man for a crime he did not commit...and nobody in the court room so much as blinked an eye. They are so used to Police Scotland officers lying in court day after day that this is purely routine for them!

That officer from Police Scotland committed perjury in order to cause harm to an innocent member of the public. Yet she walked away free as a bird. If the shoe had been on the other foot and the wee guy had been caught lying through his teeth, under oath, in that court, do you think it would have panned out the same way for him? No chance.

Worse still, the lying copper had only been with Police Scotland for 3 years. She was a rookie, fairly new in the door.

Now I'm willing to bet my pension that she didn't join Police Scotland 3 years ago just so she could be corrupt and tell lies in court to frame innocent members of the public every day. No, her lying under oath to try and get an innocent man convicted for something he didn't do is something she clearly learned to do after she joined Police Scotland.

Make no mistake, she learned this corruption from her "teachers" in untrustworthy Police Scotland, and this corruption is fully accepted and sanctioned by the Crown Office and Procurator Fiscal Service who rely on officers of Police Scotland to lie every day in courts up and down the country to help them win cases.

In another recent case, Sheriff Robert H Dickson jailed a policeman for lying to protect a colleague. Sheriff Dickson publicly blasted the culture of cover-up in Police Scotland. The Sheriff was unceremoniously attacked and criticised by that well know menace-in-a-uniform Stephen House, the chief constable of Scotland. However Sheriff Dickson slapped Stephen"I've got an ego as big as a" House down good and hard and told him in no uncertain terms that he'll say what he likes, when he likes, and about who he likes, and Police Scotland can take a run and jump if they don't like it (I'm paraphrasing of course - the judiciary obviously used far more eloquent language than I when telling Stephen House how to go self orgasm - amounts to the same thing though).

Sheriff Dickson was absolutely right. Kudos to him.

What Sheriff Dickson was speaking out about was the frustration of what he was seeing in his court room, day after day after day. Police Scotland officers covering up for each other, lying for each other, corruptly trying to get convictions against innocent members of the public.

Sheriff Dickson refused to stand for it. So should other judges. And so should we, the public.

If you are charged by Police Scotland but know you are innocent, no matter how big or small the alleged crime, always plead not guilty and have your day in court, It's not only your entitlement, it's the right thing to do.

Don't ever give up just because you think it'll be your word against a couple of Police Scotland coppers and you'll have no chance. Thankfully judges no longer blindly believe everything Police say in court any more. Judges are not stupid, they rule over their courts day in and day out and believe me they've seen it all. And that means they can see right through these lying pieces of scum who do not deserve the title of constable and are a disgrace to the uniform they wear.

First they came for the Socialists, and I did not speak outBecause I was not a Socialist.
Then they came for the Trade Unionists, and I did not speak out
Because I was not a Trade Unionist.
Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out
Because I was not a Jew.
Then they came for me - and there was no one left to speak for me.

How To Get The Broadband Speeds You Were Promised

I'm with Virgin Media and it seems pretty fast to me most of the time but all too often my so-called superfast broadband dwindles down to a trickle.

Sometimes it's so bad that I yearn for an old 56k modem of yesteryear (*quick note to young readers out there - ask your mum and dad what a 56k modem is...and while you're at it ask them about Super Mario Bros. on the NES)

Most of us now know that broadband suppliers con us in to buying their broadband by fudging the small print. Upon closer look, the speeds they claim are potential speeds rather than actual speeds. In other words, if there's not a lot of people online while you're online then you'll get all the bandwidth to yourself and therefore fast speeds.

So it comes as no surprise that a study shows that the best time to get that superfast broadband your supplier promised you is at 4 a.m.

Which co-incidently is the only time I was able to upload this damn post...<yawn>

Know Your Enemy

Abdul Aziz, a Muslim and community worker from Renfrew, Glasgow, has spoken up in todays Daily Record newspaper (original article here) condemning the terrorist attacks in Paris.

In the article he says that the terrorists are attempting to hijack the Muslim religion and have no connection to Islam. He also goes on to say "I love Glasgow, I was born and brought up here, it's my home."

Abdul is correct.

Not only is he correct, but his sentiments are exactly in line with what I regularly hear from other Muslims I know and talk to in Glasgow. And it's pretty much what you'll hear from every Muslim you talk to.

The problem is that our leaders in the western world fail to get it. They listen to Muslims like Abdul, but fail to listen to our enemies, the extremists. In order to defeat your enemy you need to know who your enemy is, why they're fighting you, and what their goals are. If you don't know that, you will struggle to defeat your enemy.

Yet our enemy is very clear about why they are attacking us and what they want. Our leaders just aren't listening.

It frustrates me when I continually hear western Prime Minsters and Presidents peddle that same old tired story saying that the extremists attack us because they HATE our way of life, HATE our democracy, HATE our free elections, HATE that we have women in the workplace, HATE that female children can have an education ad nauseum.

This is simply not true.

There are nearly 3 million Muslims living in Britain and Scotland's Muslim population is around 80,000. They have chosen to make Britain their home because they LOVE our democracy, they LOVE that we have free elections, they LOVE the fact that Muslim women can go to work, they LOVE that their little girls can go to school and get an education.

They do not hate our freedoms and our way of life.

And neither do the extremists.

What the extremists do hate is our foreign policy. They hate that we interfere in their world.

They attack us because we invade their countries, kill their citizens, and steal their oil.

They attack us because we prop up tyrant Kings and dictator Presidents in Arab countries who torture, kill, and brutalise them.

They attack us because we try to force our version of democracy on their countries with no understanding that their religion precludes them from accepting our version of democracy. In our western world, religion and the state are separate, but in the Muslim world they are intertwined (state law is the religious Sharia law). When you ask a Muslim to separate his religion from his government, the way he sees it, you're asking him to turn his back on God.

They attack us because of our unquestioning blanket support for Israel and the brutality they see Israel inflicting on the Palestinian people.

If you read western newspapers and watch the news on TV you could be forgiven for thinking that Britain is somehow under siege and we are a short step away from being taken over by "the Muslims" who want to impose their culture and laws on us and change our British way of life. This is complete and utter nonesense.

The atrocities in Paris last week were horrendous acts of pure evil. I hope every last one of the perpetrators of these sickening indiscriminate attacks are hunted down like the animals they are. I hope they spend the rest of their pathetic lives behind the door of a prison cell and never see the light of day again. And even that's too good for the vile cowards.

But we also need to wake up to the harsh reality that as long as our government maintains this reckless policy of intervention in foreign countries, we will always face a backlash from those who don't take too kindly to us poking our noses into places where we have no business being.

Our country gains no major economic or military benefits from supporting any of these middle eastern dictatorships or from invading any of these middle eastern countries. On the contrary, it costs us dearly, militarily and economically. These countries pose no threat to our security, not in Mr Blairs 45 minutes, nor at any other time. What people do in their own countries is their own business. It's none of ours. We are not, cannot be, and should not be, the worlds policeman.

There is nothing in any of these middle eastern countries that is worth the blood of one single British citizen.

There is nothing in any of these middle eastern countries that is worth the blood of a single one of our brave service men and women in uniform.

Not one.

Pull our military out of the middle east now and leave these countries to govern themselves in whichever way they want. If they want to kill each other, let them.

The politics between the rival factions in this region are extremely complex. The religious and civil wars they wage on each other are not pretty. Stop pretending we can do anything to help make it better. We can't. The middle east is a mess and our interventions so far have only made things worse for them and for us.

And while you're at it, don't be afraid to speak up anytime and anywhere you hear someone falsely attempting to associate the wonderful Muslim communities who live here in our country with the extremist violence we're suffering as a direct result of what our government is doing in the middle east.

I Wish I Was A Bank

I see the bankers are up to their old tricks again, paying themselves millions in bonuses, rigging the libor rates, and acting recklessly.

How quickly they seem to have forgotten 2008/2009.

Oh how I wish I was a bank instead of an individual.

If an individual can't pay his bills, he and his family end up on the street.

But if a bank can't pay it's bills it gets £32 Billion from the government.

Nuff said.

Police Scotland Admit Speed Cameras Are For Revenue, Not Safety

With more than 500 speed cameras in Scotland, untrustworthy Police Scotland have finally admitted what motorists have known for years...they use speed cameras against us to make money, not to stop accidents.

ASPS (The Association of Scottish Police Superintendents) have admitted that the familiar sight of police camera vans parked on top of bridges above the motorway are more likely to make them money than actually save lives.

Full marks to Chief Superintendent David O'Connor for spilling the beans on this and calling for a review in to how Police Scotland use speed cameras.

But it's still too little too late.

Millions of otherwise law abiding citizens already hate Police Scotland because they have made them in to criminals.

One 72 year old man I spoke to who had never been in any trouble in his life, ever, says he now has no respect for Police Scotland after they made him in to a criminal for a minor speed camera offence. He is adamant he will never help the Police, will turn a blind eye to any crimes he sees, and will never go to court as a witness if Police ever ask him to.

Police Scotland are so arrogant that they don't seem to realise or care that they are turning people against them.

The next time Police need a good decent member of the public to help them in court by appearing as a witness, that decent member of the public will refuse to help them.

Wake up Police Scotland. You can't turn otherwise decent honest people in to criminals, fleece them for speed camera revenue, cause them to incur higher insurance premiums by inflicting points on their licence...then expect them to help you when you need them!
